Get your Canberra school trip back on track for 2022

School trips to Canberra have become somewhat of a rite of passage for young Aussies. Over 160,000 students visit the ‘Bush Capital’ every year. These students are all fortunate enough to have a taste of experiential learning on a fun and engaging Canberra trip.

Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic derailed the plans of many schools who had their annual trip lined up in 2020.

At Canberra School Trips, we believe all students should still have the incredible opportunity to visit our nation’s capital. Here are a few tips to get your trip back on track for 2021 and 2022.

Book Early!

Due to the number of trips that were cancelled in 2020, the appetite to get back to Canberra is large! Be sure to book your tour as early as possible for 2021 or 2022 to ensure your ideal itinerary can be realised. There are many key attractions that will book out quickly, and you don’t want to miss out!

Expand Your Group

Although the annual Canberra trip tends to be reserved for Year 6 students, consider expanding your group. If possible, try to include those Year 7s who may have missed out. Taking a larger group is also a great way to keep the costs down for families.

Consider a Coach Trip

We are all hoping that flights will soon return to normal. However, we understand there may be some hesitation around airports and flying at the moment.

A good alternative is to take a coach trip instead! The long drive can broken up with a stopover in Dubbo or Sydney. This is a great experience for the students, and it helps to reduce the costs too.
