No, the more the merrier! Large groups may need to be split for certain activities, but we will discuss this with you during the booking process.
Yes. To be eligible for special group fares and prices, the minimum group size is 20 students.
It is a requirement that at least one teacher must be present per 10 students.
Canberra School Trips operates a simple three-step payment process for all of our excursions. Families will pay for the tour in three instalments, spread evenly throughout the planning process. The amount of time between payments will vary depending on the time between the initial booking and departure.
Your school may wish to organise a payment plan scheme so that families can pay you weekly or monthly amounts towards their child’s excursion.

Yes. When you book a trip with Canberra School Trips we will provide you with access to our fundraising package, containing professional guidance from a leading fundraising consultancy.
Yes. Safety is our number one priority, so it is a requirement that all of our coaches are equipped with seatbelts.
You can visit our nation’s capital any time of the year, whenever suits you and your school.
Term one is usually the cheapest time to travel, but make sure you get in quick. If you travel in the winter, you may even be able to spend a day in the snow! Depending on availability, you may also want to try and align your visit with the Parliament sitting dates.
Yes. It is a requirement that all our tour groups have adequate and valid travel insurance. Canberra School Trips are partnered with CoverMore travel insurance; however, you do not need to accept this policy. A copy of your comprehensive travel insurance policy will need to be submitted alongside your confirmation of booking form.

Most groups start the booking process about 12-18 months in advance. This gives the school plenty of time to confirm details and for parents to raise the funds. Additionally, booking early allows us to ensure the best flights, accommodation and entrance to attractions.
